Metafields & Custom Data
Unlock the full potential of Sellzar by configuring custom data fields for product timers, stock indicators, and unique labels.
Required Definitions
To use the advanced features below, you must create these metafield definitions in **Shopify Admin** > **Settings** > **Custom Data** > **Products**.
1. Flash Deal Timer
Namespace & Key
custom.deal_end_dateData Type
Date and time
Used to trigger the countdown timer on product cards and the product page. The timer will automatically hide when the date passes.
2. Inventory Indicator
Namespace & Key
custom.total_stockData Type
Integer (Number)
Defines the "Total Capacity" for the progress bar. For example, if total_stock is 100 and current inventory is 20, the bar will be 20% full.
3. Custom Labels & Badges
Hot/Trending Badge
Namespace: custom.badge_label
Type: Single line text
Usage: Displays a custom text badge (e.g., "BEST SELLER") on the product card.
Trust Score
Namespace: custom.trust_score
Type: Rating (0-5)
Usage: Overrides the standard review rating for specific promotional blocks.
4. Advanced Product Metadata
custom.about_item
Type: Rich Text / Multi-line Text
Usage:Powers the specialized "About this item" section in the Product Vision and Showcase sections. Supports HTML tags and bullet points.

Type: Product Reference / Metaobject
Usage: Links a specific brand object to a product. Used to display brand-specific logos and descriptions in the product sidebar.

Type: Page Reference / Image
Usage:Triggers the "Size Guide" modal on the product page. You can link a Shopify Page containing a table or a direct image.
